How we score
The same standard, applied to all 19 apps in the index
Rankings are never sold. We may earn affiliate commissions when you sign up through our links — that revenue never buys a better score, a higher position, or a softer review. Several apps in our index have no affiliate program at all; they are ranked identically.
How we evaluate
Every app in the index is scored on the same six axes below, using a combination of hands-on testing, first-hand pricing and feature verification, and aggregated reports from real users. Applying one fixed rubric to every app is what makes the scores comparable across the index, rather than impressions from different experiences.
We’re expanding first-hand testing across the whole index. Each review shows when it was last updated, and hands-on notes are added as we complete them — so you can always see how fresh a verdict is.
Six scoring axes

| Value | What the free tier honestly gives you, real monthly cost, token/upsell traps. |
| Privacy | Data handling clarity, billing discretion, account anonymity, breach history. |
Monthly re-verification
These apps change fast — prices move, features ship, filters tighten. Every page shows a “last updated” date, and we re-check pricing and headline features monthly. If a page is stale, that date will tell you.
